Why should I choose you as a copywriter/consultant for my B2B writing needs?
It’s a great question, and I’m glad I have the chance to answer it.
First, here are my easy answers: I’m a good copywriter, I’ve been trained in B2B, I’m nice to work with, etc.
Those things are definitely true. However, I think an additional reason to work with me is that I’ve worked in the H.R. world and I’ve been a small business owner. I’ve also purchased numerous SaaS and B2B products and services, and I know what it’s like to try to make the best decisions you can while you’re completely overwhelmed.
The reason I think my experience is so valuable is that one of the tenets of good copywriting is trying to put yourself in the shoes of the people you’re marketing to. And even if not all your prospects own businesses, just about everyone in a decision-making capacity is swamped with problems. I’ve lived it, and I know your potential customers are absolutely busy but still in need of effective solutions.
What kind of assignments do you handle?
I write B2B marketing copy and content, including emails, case studies, newsletters, articles, white papers, eBooks, etc. I also work on sales enablement projects for sales teams. What do you know about the industry?
I focus mainly on industries in which I’ve worked or have a deep interest.
For Human Resources, I worked as a corporate sales recruiter for several years. I also have an M.B.A. with an emphasis in H.R., so I’m familiar with the needs and challenges of Human Resources departments. In addition, I’ve been a small business owner so I understand the needs of independent companies who sell H.R. services.
On the hospitality front, I’ve worked in two restaurants, and my first job included planning conferences for large groups of people.
For real estate investing, I’ve been involved in over 150 deals with single and multi-family properties. I own several rentals with my husband, so I’m very familiar with the problems investors face on a daily basis because I’ve experienced them myself.
Finally, I’m a huge fan of the convenience SaaS companies offer. I’ve been a customer of some of the biggest ones, including Salesforce, CallRail, RingCentral, and Quickbooks. I’ve also had subscriptions to several smaller ones, both personally and professionally. I love SaaS!
How long will it take you to write my copy?
It depends on the specific piece(s) you need, and I can give you an exact timeframe when we talk. It’s really important to me to meet all the deadlines we agree upon, so I’ll be upfront and realistic when we discuss your projects. I also may be open to rush work at an extra charge.
What happens if we want to revise the copy?
That’s totally fine! My goal is satisfied clients, so I don’t have a maximum number of revisions allowed. I just ask that you be respectful and realistic.
How do I start working with you?
Give me a call, send me a text or email, or contact me through social media. I’ll call you back right away and we can discuss your project. If it sounds like a good fit at that point, I’ll send you a proposal. After you sign it, we’ll set up a kickoff meeting and go from there. I generally require 50% of the project up-front, and I’ll provide options for payment.
What will it be like to work with me?
I’ll do everything in my power to make sure it’s a fabulous experience. First, I know you’re busy, so I’ll be respectful of your time and get as much upfront information as possible. Next, I’m very nice and friendly, so hopefully talking to me will be a fun experience. Finally, I’m a stickler for deadlines and editing, so you’ll have error-free your copy on the agreed upon date!
